There was a party too big for the house that was holding it!! just up on Rangers road (directly opposite out place), Hordes of teenagers (maybe a little older but not much) where filling the street on clearly what was a BIG party that got a little too big!!
It amazes me how angry groups of *boys* get , it seems that the more testoterone in the area, the less the brains (until you get to a football match where the IQ level actually becomes inverse)
I was so impressed with the police, they were calm and listended politely to the angry young men yelling at them and then kept calmly persisting on slowly breaking up the crowd (which by then had swelled to over 200) and moving them on to a main thoroughfare. This party was in the middle of a small suburban street with lots of young families with very young kids in the houses.
I was extremely impressed with the fact that the police stayed with groups of girls and gave them a lift home or to a friends place, they did not just kick them out of the party and let them go their own way, the most senior gent looked a little like Bill Hunter and he was very kind and organised taxi’s and rang parents and made sure the kids who needed lifts got home allright, for me that was the way policing should be.
It seems strange for me to write this but I hope when My kids get into trouble in the future (I just guess they will, they may not:-) I hope that the cops are as nice and as calm and as grown up as the ones tonight.

It is so bizarre that as a parent, the untimely arrival of fecal matter can be funny, but here it is…
Amazon has been a little unwell lately and we were over at a friends place who has a lovely little girl a little younger than Amazon.
As there was splashing in the wading pool there was no undies or nappies on…
Amazon got out of the pool and cuddled up to me on my lap…. and then proceeded to …. well….. proceed very quickly needless to say, we havent been back there for a little while

Fire is such an exciting thing to play with, It flickers and teases you to touch it……
Last night around about bathtime, The light blew out in the bathroom, I thought…. a candle, no problem
Amazon while being totally amazed at having a bath by candelight was closely watched and was given a quick bath.
Dreamer on the other hand was left alone in the bathroom (because we thought he was much more sensible) with a candle for less than 60seconds and he comes out screaming “MY UNDIES ARE ON FIRE”, I rushed in and stomped on the flaming underpants (which stuck to the sole of my boot which I was fortunately still wearing)
Then I noticed that he was holding his hand…. underpant elastic had gotten on his hand and I was too busy stamping out the fire to notice
So….. third degree burn on the hand later it is small but has gone all the way in to not skin any more…. ewwwwww, Dreamer has now learned a little lesson about dangling his undies over a lit candle “Just to see what would happen”
Just another day
Be Well
